Kinookimaw Residents Association –Meeting Minutes April 7, 2026
Present: President Dwayne Redekopp; Secretary Dawn Schmidt; Treasurer Rita Hanoski; Craig Matt; Blaine Campbell; and Muir Barber.
Regrets: Vice-President Daryl Lukan; Leila Blish and Lorne Bumphrey.
Call to Order at 7:00 pm.
1. Adoption of Agenda:
M: THAT the Agenda be approved as previously circulated with the addition of setting the 2026 AGM Date.

2. Approval of Minutes:
M: THAT the minutes of the February 10, 2026 meeting be approved as circulated.

3. Business Arising from Minutes
BBQ and Concert
The date is set for Saturday, July 4th. The BBQ will start at 4:30 and the concert to follow at 6:00. This will accommodate the Fireworks later that night.
Dawn will draft a poster for the May weekend for the committee to review. The poster will be sent out on June 1 asking for a response to the KRA email. A reminder email will go out again on June 20, 2026 with the deadline of June 25th.
Include wording on the poster for non-KRA attendees.
Rita will take attendance and gather money at the event. She will also introduce Kris that evening prior to the concert.
Dawn will gather the # of attendees from last year, and Dwayne will bring the purchased food list from 2025 to the next meeting
Christmas Party -
The 2026 Christmas Party date has been set for Saturday, December 5th at the Regina Beach Hall.
4. Lease Sub-Committee Report
The Sub-Committee met since the last meeting and are in the process of gathering information on the lease.
5. Financial Report:
Rita presented the financial information and indicated that the current account balance is $3,477.97. There are 70 members paid for 2025.

6. KBA Manager Report
Lorne was not in attendance. He provided the following information:
• Water supply has not been settled yet.
• Water meters installation quotes are being gathered.
• Roads are ongoing and will be graded when weather permits.
7. Bylaw Compliance Report
No formal reports submitted to the committee.
8. New Business:
2026 AGM Date
• Meeting is set for June 13, 2026, 9:30 am at the Kinookimaw Park. Community Members to bring their own chairs.
Trail and Community Clean-up
• Date is set for May 9, 2026.
• Community members are encouraged to assist with the clean up.
• A reminder email will be sent out with a time and meeting location.
• Dawn to ask in the Kommunicator if there are any areas of concern in common areas that members are aware of. (Trees, etc.)
9. Next meeting date
Next regular meeting will be held on May 20, 2026 at 7:00 at Craig’s house (106 Cedar).
